The race starts at Tamarama and finishes at Clovelly. For those who are driving, we recommend that swimmers park at Clovelly and use the courtesy bus to Tamarama. Public TransportRemember that the race is on Easter Monday, which is a public holiday. Buses and trains may be running on an altered schedule. Driving and ParkingWe recommend that you park at Clovelly and catch the courtesy bus to Tamarama. Be sure to leave plenty of time to park, get to Tamarama, and register. Courtesy BusesBetween 8:45 am and 10:30 am there will be courtesy buses going from Clovelly to Tamarama. It is recommended that you park at Clovelly in the morning and catch a bus to Tamarama. That way your car will be right there when you finish the race. A shuttle bus will be available to take your clothes and gear back to the finish line at Clovelly from Tamarama. While we will do our best to ensure the safety of your property it is strongly advised that you do not take valuables to the beach. Clovelly Beach Car ParkClovelly has a fantastic car park and will be serviced by our courtesy buses. It is recommended that you park at Clovelly then catch a bus to Tamarama. There is also street parking at the Northern side of the beach.View Larger Map Bronte Beach Car ParkBronte Beach is situated between Tamarama and Clovelly Beaches and is walking distance from both. The council car park (labeled Bronte Rd (Loop) on the map) at Bronte costs $3/hour, but is free to Waverley residents with a permit for the Bondi council car park. The car park can fit 280 vehicles.View Larger Map On Street ParkingThere are several options for on-street parking in the area surrounding the swim. Of particular note are the roads bordering the Waverley Cemetery. Parking here is unmetered and will not unduly interfere with residents' parking. On street parking at Tamarama and Bronte is always scarce and should not be relied upon to be available on the day of the race.View Larger Map WalkingThe world famous coastal walk goes past Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly, Gordon's Bay, and Coogee, and boasts views of the most spectacular scenery in Sydney. If you have time, and the weather is nice, walking between the beaches is highly recommended. |
